I guess its safe to say that winter is definitely here. With some of the coldest temperatures the U.S has seen in 20 years, and some sort of magical horrible thing called a ‘polar vortex’ happening. Global warming is real y’all. Anyway, New York has definitely been affected and its freezing! Anyway, I’ve created a couple of survival tips/suggestions for keeping ya cool (no pun) as we make it through this winter!
1. Dress appropriately because “winter chic” does not apply to a polar vortex. During harsh winter weather your more likely to look like a giant marshmallow than Kate Moss, but that’s okay because you’ll be toasty and thats cuter than frostbite right?
2. Seamless will become your new BFF. It’s so much easier to just order in rather than trekking through the cold for food. But, we also must not forget about the people who deliver the food! $1 tips do not suffice people. Tip your delivery guy well, it’s just a good human being thing to do.
3. In door activities do exist! While you may become accustomed to staying in with Netflix there are many great in door activities to do around the city you shouldn’t let the weather deter you from. There are so many great exhibitions happening from the show at the New Museum to the Gaultier exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum.
4. Hone your cooking skills! Okay so this list is all over the place since I just said let Seamless be your BFF, but this also a great time to create some yummy comfort food that will last you for days during your hibernation! Chillis, soups, pastas, easy and cozy!
Stay warm everyone!
