Fall is here! While it has technically been fall for a little over a month, the leaves have just started to change and it is finally cold enough to start wearing cozy sweaters and boots. For most New Yorkers, it is arguably one of the best times of the year and fall here is definitely unlike anywhere else!
My fellow student blogger Syd and I as part of a new ‘I Heart’ series, decided to chat with our fellow Parsons students about what they love about the season in New York.
Some of the highlights:
One thing most students mentioned they loved about the fall season was everything pumpkin flavored! From Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Lattes to the pumpkin flavored doughnuts at Doughnut Plant as well as a new cake at East Village restaurant the Smith, which is also pumpkin flavored!
Because us New Yorkers walk a lot we are also able to see so much of the beauty of fall! The colors of the leaves are now beautiful hues of red and gold and the many parks in New York City are awesome places to soak it all in. Students especially loved fall in Central Park as well as Washington Square, which are great to soak in some nature, people watch and enjoy a beautiful crisp fall day.
This is pretty much a given! After a hot New York City summer, the cool fall temperatures are more than appreciated. As Erin said, the three B’s are what’s exciting about fall “Burgundies, Browns and Boots!”
